The Toronto Port Authority presents the 2nd annual floating movie theatre experience at Sugar Beach or Lake Ontario. Tickets to this three-day event are free. Date: August 16 to 18, 2012. Come by foot or by boat to see movies on a double-sided, 28-foot outdoor screen.
If you’re coming by foot, you’ll need to print out a ticket and bring it with you. You’ll also need to bring something comfortable to sit on. Seating is on a first come, first served basis. Having a ticket won’t automatically get you a seat. The secret – get there early. If you’re coming by boat, just drop your anchor and enjoy the movie – no ticket required (space is also on a first come, first served basis). You can watch all three movies, but you’ll have to make separate bookings for each movie.
Doors open at 7:00 p.m. Movies start after dusk around 8:45 p.m.
Here’s the Movie Lineup:
- August 16 2012: The Poseidon Adventure
- August 17, 2012: Creature From The Black Lagoon
- August 18, 2012: Hook
